Urban Climate Action by Policymakers and Academics gathered in London – LabcitiesTV Episode 51
Policymakers, researchers and academics gathered in London on 11 October to hear urban climate action champion Debra Roberts give the 2016 Barbara Ward Lecture.
Roberts, who heads up the Sustainable and Resilient City Initiatives portfolio in eThekwini Municipality, Durban, South Africa, called for more to be done to join the dots between the ‘New Urban Agenda’, being prepared for Habitat III, and the realities of implementation at the local level.
This video features Roberts and Andrew Norton, the director of the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), as they take part in a question-and-answer session following the lecture.
The Barbara Ward Lecture is hosted by IIED and features the current generation of outstanding women in development.
