Rapid urbanisation and climate change are two of the greatest challenges our societies have ever faced. Against this background, urban forests represent an extremely effective Nature-based Solution for greener, healthier, and more sustainable cities. However, today the implementation of urban forestry solutions still faces many barriers. Uforest – a 3 years project co-funded by the European Union – aims to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in this field. Bringing together universities, businesses, and public administrations, the project provides a cross-sectoral alliance to improve the multidisciplinary of urban forestry.
