Sonam Wangchuk to sit on 5-day ‘climate fast’ from Jan 26
Stressing on the importance for the need for an ‘unguent action’ over Ladakh’s deteriorating eco-system, activist Sonam Wangchuk has decided to go on a 5-day ‘climate fast’ from January 26. Taking to his Twitter handle, the activist urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take necessary actions and also urged the citizens to do their part for protecting the fragile eco-systems like the Union Territory. With the aim to draw attention over the matter, the fast will be held at Khardung Pass at 18000ft in -40 °C.
