In this episode of Building Asia with UOB, Jack Ng, Inventor and Founder of Sky Greens, shares how his sustainable farming business helps address food security issues in land-scarce Singapore, as well as overseas, where land quality is variable. Watch to find out how we provided financial solutions to help Sky Greens scale up, improve their modern farming technologies and expand internationally.

As an engineer by training, Jack started experimenting with prototypes for a rotating vertical farm from the backyard of his aluminium factory in 2009. Fast forward to 2021, his farm in Lim Chu Kang now produces one tonne of vegetables a day, supplying to leading supermarkets.

Sky Greens’ unique urban agriculture solutions allow farmers to produce crops sustainably and at a higher yield compared to traditional growing methods. Its patented design and technology is now being exported to micro-farms in Thailand, China, Vietnam and even as far as Canada through a franchise system.
