The Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee holds a hearing on oversight of financial regulators in the wake of recent bank failures. Michael Barr, vice chair for supervision at the Federal Reserve and Martin Gruenberg, chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) are among the regulators set to appear in front of the Senate committee. Other witnesses include Todd Harper, chair of the National Credit Union Administration; Michael Hsu, acting comptroller at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency; Adrienne Harris, superintendent of New York State Department of Financial Services; and Clothilde Hewlett, commissioner of California Department of Financial Protection & Innovation.
