San Diego immigrant job-training program expands cafe and urban farm business #Shorts
Merging Agriculture, Kitchens and Employment (MAKE) Projects offers exactly that to immigrant and refugee women and girls in San Diego. The nonprofit is part urban farm, part café and part catering business. The main purpose of the program is to give participants a low-stress opportunity to improve their public speaking, writing and interview abilities, while receiving paid job training.
