Mike Miller joined The Signorelli Company (TSC) as Senior Vice President of Land with a breadth of Master Planned Community experience. In his role, Mike co-leads TSC’s land division and is instrumental in helping manage current assets and further propel the firm’s Master Planned Community footprint across Houston – including Austin Point. Mike will also assist expansion efforts into the Austin, Dallas and San Antonio markets.
Mike was most recently Vice President – Houston for Ashlar Development, where he was primarily responsible for all residential and commercial performance for the highly acclaimed and multi-award winning Master Planned Community, The Groves, which is a 1,000 acre Master Planned Community in northeast Houston. In that role, Mike managed all strategic planning, development activities, acquisitions, homebuilder relations, pricing structure, product development and competitive strategies associated with the Houston market and region portfolio. In addition, Mike helped vision and oversee the framework for The Glade at The Groves. The Glade is going to be a large mixed-use component to The Groves offering residents the ability to reside, celebrate, collaborate, feast and browse within The Groves community.
Prior to his work with Ashlar, Mike worked as a senior manager in land acquisition and development for various Houston homebuilders. He also worked for mixed-use developer Sam Yager Incorporated and was responsible for residential development management and acquisition for their entire portfolio. Over his tenure, he has developed nearly 5,000 lots within more than 20 communities in the Houston area.
Mike graduated from The University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Bachelor of Urban and Environmental Planning. He received his Master of Science in Land and Property Development at Texas A&M University and now serves on the Development Industry Advisory Council for the program.
Mike is affiliated with numerous organizations including the Urban Land Institute (ULI) as a Community Development Product Council member, ULI NEXT member, and volunteer for the ULI Young Leader Mentorship Program. In addition, he serves as the North Houston Association’s Development Trends Committee Chair, Partnership Lake Houston Board of Directors, and Texas A&M MLPD’s Development Industry Advisory Council. He is also a member of the Aggie Real Estate Network, Greater Houston Builder’s Association, Texas Association of Builders, and John Burns Real Estate Center Housing’s Rising Leaders. Mike was also named to Lake Houston Area Magazine’s Top 4 Under 40 in 2021. He gives back through Operation Finally Home, Insperity Adaptive Sports Complex Miracle League Buddy, Lake Houston YMCA sponsor and is actively involved at Houston’s First Baptist Church – Cypress.
