Maldives President: Millions Spent on Climate Adaptation

The small nation of Maldives is getting smaller, with rising seas encroaching on the country’s palm-fringed islands, reducing the amount of livable land. Newly inaugurated president Mohamed Muizzu underscores the Maldives’ climate struggle in a wide-ranging interview with Bloomberg’s Television’s Haslinda Amin. In “Latitude,” Muizzu talks about the manmade island emerging more than six feet out of the ocean that could ensure the country’s future.
