Kreislaufwirtschaftliche Ansätze behaupten ihren Platz in der Architektur – in Theorie und Praxis.
Doch wie sieht es im Städtebau aus? Hier können Weichen für ein regeneratives Bauen gestellt werden, das Stoffflüsse im Bauen als gemeinwohlorientierten Zyklus von Rückbau zu Erdbau und Neubau denkt. Mit dem Modell des „Ökologischen Geschossbaus“ werden diese Massenstrategien als Landschaft verräumlicht.
Es gilt zu formulieren, wie dabei auch lebenswerte, biodiverse und ökologisch aktive Räume, die versiegelungsneutral und klimaresilient sind, entstehen. Ansätze in diese Richtung werden im kommenden Biotope City-Seminar vorgestellt.

Climate repair through regenerative urban planning
Circular economy approaches are asserting their place in architecture – in theory and practice.
But what about urban planning? Here, the course can be set for regenerative building, which thinks of material flows in construction as a cycle oriented toward the common good, from deconstruction to earthworks and new construction. With the model of “Ecological Storey Construction” these mass strategies are being spatialized as a landscape.
The task is to formulate how this also creates livable, biodiverse, and ecologically active spaces that are sealing-neutral and climate-resilient. Approaches in this direction will be presented in the upcoming Biotope City seminar.
