Introduction video – Asian Cities Climate Change Resilience Network – Youth Initiatives Programme
The Youth Initiatives (2012-2013) is a project implemented by Challenge to Change in 3 Vietnamese cities: Da Nang, Quy Nhon and Can Tho.
This project is a part of the regional programme, named Asian Cities Climate Change Resilience Network (ACCCRN) initiated by Rockefeller Foundation.
Challenge to Change provides technical and financial support for 12 youth groups in 3 ACCCRN cities to demonstrate and implement on how they want to build urban resilience for vulnerable communities. These are 12 community-based concrete ideas and actions, directly contribute to Urban Climate Change Resilience Strategies.
It is the first time local youth have been empowered to participate and to illustrate their crucial role in connecting policy makers, urban planning and climate change experts with grassroots people.
This is the way cities and ACCCRN partners learn about Urban Resilience through the eyes of youth.
