Gail Walter discusses the ways climate change threatens birds and describes the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Urban Bird Treaty. Gail is a retired veterinary pathologist and health coach. She has a life-long interest in all things nature and environment. She is involved with numerous conservation and environmental based groups such as Southwest Michigan Land Conservancy, Audubon Society of Kalamazoo, and Kalamazoo Area Wild Ones. She is Peregrine Falcon coordinator for Kalamazoo’s resident falcons, and liaison between those birds and the community, the DNR, and the building owners.
