Housing and Transportation: What’s the Climate Connection? Guest Host Citizen’s Climate Lobby (CCL)

0

Housing and transportation together account for 42% of our emissions. To achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 we need to dramatically reduce vehicle miles traveled and make our buildings more efficient. What impact do transportation and housing choices have on carbon emissions, affordability and livability? Ann Arbor Citizens’ Climate Lobby has assembled a panel to discuss considerations for designing low carbon, highly livable cities.
Panelists include:
Jan Culbertson, Senior Principal Emeritus, A3C and Leadership Council Chair, Ann Arbor 2030 District
Jonathan Levine, Professor of Urban and Regional Planning, University of Michigan’s Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning
Christopher Laurent, President, Cinnaire Solutions
Reid Ewing, Professor, City & Metropolitan Planning, University of Utah
This event is a collaboration with the Ann Arbor District Library.
