This session at the sidelines of 2023 High-Level Political Forum is dedicated to the topic “Accelerating the COVID-19 recovery and full implementation of the 2030 Agenda with and for youth”.
The key issues under discussion will include youth inclusion in urban governance and the localization of the SDGs, social integration, climate action and COVID-19 response and recovery. The session will feature speakers involved in relevant youth-led initiatives, highlighting the systemic support needed to empower young people to lead and address their unique needs.
In 2023, Sustainable Development Goals 6, 7, 9, 11 and 17 are under review.
The High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) is the central United Nations platform for the follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the global level. It is the apex of the architecture for follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda established by the 2030 Agenda and General Assembly resolution 70/299.
