EPLO-adelphi workshop: 'Climate change, gender and violence in urban areas: Lessons from Pakistan'
This workshop entitled ‘Climate change, gender and violence in urban areas: Lessons from Pakistan’ was organised on the 3rd of December 2020 by the European Peacebuilding Liaison Office (EPLO) together with adelphi and the Climate Diplomacy initiative, with support from the German Federal Foreign Office.
It was part of a series of online workshops entitled ‘Climate change and human security: Integrating peacebuilding and climate adaptation efforts in practice’.
The workshop examined the gendered effects in urban areas of climate-induced natural resource scarcity and population displacement, with a particular focus on violence directed toward women and how to prevent it
