Cities and Climate Challenges in Southeast Asia
This webinar present research findings on the urban-climate change nexus by 5 of the contributors to a newly published compendium “Cities and Climate Challenges in Southeast Asia” on 6 March 2023.
Dr Alejandro N. Ciencia from the University of the Philippines Baguio; Ms Nila Kamil from the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry and Wageningen University & Research; and Dr Michiyo Kakegawa from Soka University highlighted the problem of water insecurity in the City of Baguio, Philippines; the City of Jakarta’s collaborative experience with international city climate networks; and the role of Official Development Assistance (ODA) in promoting climate adaptation tools by drawing from the experience of Japanese ODA in Vietnamese cities respectively.
The webinar, titled “Cities and Climate Challenges in Southeast Asia” was moderated by Ms Melinda Martinus and organised by the Climate Change in Southeast Asia Programme.
