EVENT DETAILS
GEF-GCF complementarity in financing climate and biodiversity
Tuesday, December 13, 13:00 – 14:00 ET

While the Green Climate Fund finances implementation of the Paris Agreement, biodiversity constitutes one of its greatest co-benefits. As of 2022, up to 47% of GCF’s portfolio benefits biodiversity, including through ecosystem-based approaches and nature-based solutions. This dialogue will cover opportunities for financing biodiversity through the GCF, modalities of access, and present and future cooperation between the GEF and GCF to finance biodiversity.
