Dan Freiss shares the results of his research and enlightens the audience about the use of ‘blue carbon’ as an unexpected but powerful solution for climate change. An Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore’s Department of Geography. Dan’s study focuses on how coastal habitats, through their “blue carbon,” might help us buffer climate change. He is a strong advocate of crossing the academic-implementation divide, and works with a range of government, NGO, commercial and community groups to implement on the ground mangrove conservation initiatives.
