#BiodiversityResearch | Can Urban Coral Reefs Keep Up with Climate Change? | AXA Research Fund
Healthy coral reefs provide a natural barrier that reduces the impact of storm surges and tsunamis before they reach the shore, but how is climate change affecting these ecosystems?
AXA-supported researcher, Dr Kyle Morgan at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, is analyzing the urban coral reefs in South East Asia and how climate change is affecting them.
The objective of his project is to inform local decision-makers about the vulnerability of these coasts and encourage coral reef conservation policies in South East Asia.
